At SWS, we’re passionate about making the action sports board industry more circular and sustainable. That’s why we’ve developed the industry’s first-ever snowboard reclaiming and upcycling technology, turning what was once to be waste into brand-new, high-performance boards. This innovation keeps old boards out of landfills while honoring the spirit and materials that fuel every ride.

FROM AEROSPACE TO ACTION SPORTS

UPCYCLING AEROSPACE CARBON

In partnership with Strata Manufacturing, we’re upcycling high-grade carbon fiber from the aerospace industry to build action sports boards. This initiative gives advanced materials a second life, reducing industrial waste while elevating ride quality and performance.

SAFETY MEETS SUSTAINABILITY

RECYCLABLE EDGE PROTECTORS

We’ve replaced traditional rubber edge protectors with 100% certified recyclable kraft cardboard EdgeBoard protectors. This reduces landfill waste, conserves resources, and lowers emissions. Our new protectors are non-toxic, biodegradable, and printed with lead-free ink, reinforcing our commitment to smarter, safer packaging with a lighter footprint.

INNOVATION WITH IMPACT

GREENER MATERIALS

We’re committed to reducing our boards’ environmental footprint without compromising performance. Alongside bio-based topsheets and resin systems, we now offer the use of renewable, plant-based flax fibers in conjunction with traditional glass fiber, setting a new standard for eco-conscious board construction.

LOWER EMISSIONS, GREATER BENEFITS

SHARED TRANSPORT

We introduced a shared bus service for staff commuting from various locations, with around 450 employees now using it daily. This initiative reduces CO2 emissions by approximately 6,200 tonnes per year, while also offering added convenience and wellbeing benefits to our team.

SUSTAINABLE PACKAGING

SWS has implemented a packaging system designed with sustainability in mind. Carton boxes, packaging tapes, and flax straps are fully recyclable, and all printing inks are lead-free. Every element is carefully chosen to minimize environmental impact while maintaining durability and quality.
